WW1 Remington UMC, Refinished?

    Thank you, sir. Fact is, I made a mistake and posted the image of a gun which I'm nearly 100% certain is original. I can't figure out how to delete the thread, but then, others may simply enjoy seeing a Remington UMC in this condition. The gun in question was made by Springfield Armory (in Springfield Mass.) pre-WW1 and is in somewhat better condition than this Remington UMC, which raises questions of possibly being an 'updated' finish. I'll put together a post on the Springfield Armory forum soon.
