I bought some at the gun show this weekend. $18 for 1000. Last night I loaded about 10 rounds of 45acp and shot them over the chronograph today with VV N-310 powder and 230g fmj. Same exact velocity as Winchester LP primers. Unless we hear actual and VERIFIED horror stories, we may have a winner with these cheaper primers. At least in low-pressure calibers like 45acp.
Now that I think of it, I do have a complaint. Each pack of 100 is in a plastic tray wrapped in thin card stock like Winchester does. But it is wrapped so tightly I couldn't slide the plastic tray out of the wrapper. It was an incredibly tight friction fit, and the plastic tray just wouldn't budge. Out of frustration I had to rip the wrapper off the tray to get the primers. Now I have an open tray of 90 primers. It is inconveniently annoying.
