OK, I've seen a lot of pictures of those fine Fusion 1911's, and have read all the great reviews. It's time for me to find out for myself. I sent the specs for a 1911 that I'd like built - I went crazy, asking for my dream pistol. I might have gone overboard, but if you don't ask - you won't get it. I hope they don't think I'm crazy. Anyway, I await their response.

OK, don't laugh. I asked for a 5" 1911 chambered for 45acp - and it had to be built for accuracy. Here's part of my email I sent with my wish list:

I would like:
5" match barrel, bushing
ultra light trigger pull
no rail
BoMar (or clone if not available anymore)
Rear BoMar deep buried cut
Plain narrow serrated front sight
25lpi front strap checkering
flat MSH 25lpi checkering
Serrated rear of slide to match rear sight
Top of slide serrations is decorative pattern
Recessed slidestop pin on right side of frame
Ambi safety - narrow left side, wide right (I'm a lefty)
Best hammer/sear/disconnector available (ultra light hammer)
Custom serial number
No front slide cocking serrations
High frontstrap cut under trigger guard
Standard (short) guiderod
Standard (short) mag release
Finished in deep, rich blueing

Nothing wrong with that Spec out List

the Deep Rich Bluing might be the prob though I haven't seen anything with that great Colt Royal Blueing or the Old School Smith Finishs

Nice list primers, nothing to laugh at in there at all.

Since you are going all out what about an egw thick carry bevel (I know not a carry gun but they look darn good) bushing with a thick initialed guide rod? Not saying you need it, just pointing it out.

Right Bud, no carry bevel as this would be a range gun - not for carry.

Here is one on a gun without the carry bevel. I had beveled bushings before they came out with the monogramed plugs and those thick plugs are not beveled as they can spin. They monogramed ones do not spin and look really sharp as they are beveled and blend in good with the beveled bushings.:
