I am with Bud on this one. I really like those clear AlumaGrips on that gun. The color of the grips compliments the hard chrome slide plus I like the half smooth, half checkered look. Very nice

The silver balances out the guns overall appearance better. The VZ's probably give better grip, but aesthetically, they just don't fit.
At least thats me.

A nice set of cocobolo would be the ticket.

I hate to come off as a trouble maker, but I don't really like either for your gun...and a great gun it is. The alumigrips are fantastic grips (I have them on my Nighthawk Talon) but they don't look right on your gun. Their color clashes with your slide when offset by the black frame. The VZs I don't like because I don't care for logos on my guns and they're just not that attractive. You might try black alumigrips or introduce wood, which could be really nice. Anyway, fantastic piece.

I would have voted, C) "None of the above." I have had a pistol with the NHC logo'd Cocobola grips and they are REALLY nice looking. I don't care for aluma grips because I like to shoot my guns outside the aerobic temperature threshold. The Gators are ok, but I prefer a more level playing field for my palms. To each his own.

All that matters is how pleasing they are to YOU!

This is interesting, the vote is exactly 50% for each right now.

For looks I picked the Aluma Grips, i have them also, on the gun in my Avitar, but they do get VERY COLD in the winter, sends a chill right through my hand. For winter I switched back to my wood grips. For looks, I have not seen anything l like more than the AlumaGrips.

When I first saw the Aluma Grips, it seemed like something was missing or possibly to plain.

I liked the NHC VS's the best, I also like their logo on the grip. To me, it's like making a statement that the weapon in your holster isn't just another 1911. Plus, being a new company, many 1911 fans would be curious to see one and it would help with getting the word out about a great 1911.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Enjoy.
