After mucking up the finish on my black TLE, I had the frame blasted at a local shop. Total cost: $10 and an hour of my time to shoot the bull with the owner. Much easier than trying to strip it and sand it and refinish it myself.

Disassembly and reassembly went well,except Kimber's firing pin block is just one more part to line up with the sear pin. :hairpull:


Anyway here she is. Not the best pics,I know. I'll probably test fire tomorrow to make sure all is well,and at some point I'll take some fine sandpaper and polish it up a bit. Or not.
