Anybody have or shot one?

I don't have a Springfield Custom and would love to add one to my 1911 collection at some point this year. I have shot a couple Springfield Customs and was very impressed. The only Springers I have now is a stainless TRP and stainless GI, no custom models.

Here's the TGO1. Beautiful pistol. Prices are better in stores or online, but they aren't cheap.

I agree with Bud, or even get fusion to build one exactly as you would like it.

If you think so Go for it .. I just don't see what it gives ya vs something else.. and resell might be one to think on to A springer custom isnt going to bring the $$$ like some of the others

I've got a TGO2, and it's fantastic. I can only imagine how the TGO1 must be. I'd love to have one.

What about Springfield's lifetime warranty? I agree that a Springfield Custom doesn't have the same cache as a Brown, but there's a good chance that it'll become harder to get new pistols here in CA starting in 2010. So I picked up a Custom Shop pistol because I wanted a high-quality weapon with excellent customer service should I need it.

Bac,you already have an amazing collection of handguns that anyone would be proud to own. It's not like this is your first 1911 and,if I may,it seems that you can afford it so I say go ahead and get what you want. I don't think that a Custom Shop Springfield would be any worse than any other 1911 in that price range.

Thanks for the replies. Its not something I want immediately, but its on my short list of 1911s I still want.

I ZeroTA mentioned, I do have quite a few and there aren't too many more that I want.
