Hi there! When it comes to collect classic handguns, there’s no alternative to own a 1911! So a nice, but a little shattered Colt Combat Commander V70 crossed my way and found it’s place on my workbench to be restored to it’s former glory! Just a little sand-/glassblasting, changing springs & reinstalling the original sights made it really look handsome! The skeleton hammer, a checkered straight mainspring housing and nice G10 grips just were my small concessions to a modern 1911 (but keeping the original parts stored…)! Meanwhile, I ran some 200 rds. through the barrel and had a lot of fun on the range! Think, this will not be my last 1911… (especially, since my wife tried it, as well!)! Good to have a forum, like the 1911talk.com Cheers from Glock-Land brekker0
