I saw this one earlier this morning, and I didn't post because I was so disgusted, that I didn't know what to post. Still not sure what to post, but I do hope they court martial him for something. He doesn't deserve to wear the uniform. I am not some kind of tree hugger type, and I sure am not any member of PETA and the such type groups. I hunt, fish, etc. but I have a healthy respect for all of God's creatures, and that guy needs to mature about 15 years. If he doesn't have the maturity to understand that the animal he just killed (I hope), had nothing to do with the situation it was in, and was probably the most innocent being in the whole area, then I really have a problem with that jarhead carrying a weapon that is capable of taking the life of a human being many times over.

Man I hope they give him a long vacation from the United States Armed Forces. He gives the medial the fuel they so fervently want.

I agree with you 100% Brian. I grew up killing animals for food, but it was a strict policy of anything you kill is for eating. Well there are exceptions like rats, mice, etc. But killing a puppy, which as you say is probably the most innocent life in the whole area, like that is deplorable and doing it on video shows how much he really enjoyed it. He IS a disgrace to Marines, Servicemembers, veterans and even U.S. civillians.

I've got to ask a dumb question, probably been asked already---is the puppy real? Do we know for sure? I would think if it's real, the guy would've gotten in some kind of trouble with his CO, you know, it being horrible PR for the Corps and all. Just curious if we know for sure.

If it's real, he will get his a** handed to him, rest assured. Karma's kinda funny that way........

If you look at the website a little, there is a part near the bottom where the Jarhead that did it supposedly posts that yes he did do it, but then tried to explain why he did it, and justify it.

When I was over there During Phantom Fury; every dog, cat, rabbit, that was seen was shot and or killed, to help prevent the spread of disease. Ever seen a puppy, dog, cat, RABBIT eat the crotch or eyes out of a 1-12 day old body?

USMCMP, thats fine, I can completely understand that, and think its a good idea, however, the issue, at least for me is the fact that this nutjob threw the puppy in the ravine, instead of humanely shooting it.

Or the fact that the jerk had it video taped as if he had been hunting large game. Regardless the guy needs to be severely disciplined either physically or by the Armed Forces.

I agree with these guys usmcmp. I agree that the strays should be killed, but turning it it into a game in front of the camera and throwing it it a ravine was ridiculous. He did a lot of harm to the image of the marines in harms way by doing that and it has nothing to do with whether they should be exterminated or not. That wasn't a marine exterimating animals, it was a sadist mugging for the camera. I would think ANYONE could see that much. Shoot the dog and end it.

I am not a vet nor have I served in the Military. I do however respect you guys who have. On the other hand I do not agree with what the Marine did, if he did do it. This is not about combat this is about respect for life. PM inbound.

Sorry ClutchUSMC, I'm with Jerry. Shoot the dog if necessary. Do what you need to do, but don't make sport of it. To someone with conscience it would be a disagreeable, if necessary, task -- not something to chortle over.
