Just a word of Thanks to all you military folks that have put your lives on the line for our Country. You have a special place in my heart.

Without you guys, we wouldn't have any of the things that we do today, things held dear or taken for granted alike. Without you, there would be no 1911Auto.com, and that's merely the beginning. Thank you for all that you have done, all that you have given up, and all that your sacrifices have made possible. In a world where the majority of people's idea of a hero is Paris Hilton, please never lose sight of the fact that it is YOU who is the true hero. We as Americans owe everything to you. And besides, speaking German isn't my style.

For my part, and my 11 years, you are very welcome and thanks for recognizing us. I wouldn't trade for anything.

I can't speak for everyone, but whenever someone tells me thanks for serving, I get a little embarrassed. Not because I'm ashamed, but because it's something I've always wanted and I can't think of anything else I would rather be doing. Besides, I'll be damned if I let someone else have the responsibility of making sure my family has a safe country to live in.

We say thank you because when you do it for your family, you do it for ours tooo. My grandbabies get on the bus every morning w/o fear. Thank you.
My wife goes to the State School for MHMR w/o fear so I Thank you. My 76 yr old Mother still shops by herself w/o fear. (she does carry  just in case) Thank you.
We go to church every Sunday w/o worry of a truck bomb. Thank you.

I understand your point and it is very valid. To me it just feels weird when someone says it to me out of the blue. And honestly when it happens I start looking around for a place to hide, because I'm not a people person.
