Hello :wavey:. New to the forum and new to 1911’s
I just purchased my first 1911 two weeks ago. It is a SA Loaded Stainless. I only have had a chance to but down 84 rounds, but I already am in love :dancingbananna:

I am interested in using the promotion that Springfield is running with their 19111 loaded coupon discounted merchandise.
Who makes their black 5" leather 1911 holster? Is it decent quality? Anyone have it? Like it/dislike it?

I’d like to get several more .45 magazines. Are the Springfield’s good. I’ve heard great things about Wilson Combat, but nothing (good or bad ) about the Springfield magazines.
Thanks for your help!

Welcome cruiser and welcome to the wonderful world of 1911's. I don't know who makes their holster, maybe someone else can answer it. Springfield has a fine 1911.

I'm not real sure about springfields mags either, but as you say wilson is excellent and chip mccormick has excellent mags for the price and I would probably go with either of those before buying springfields. The act/novaks are also good mags in my opinion, they had a problem with cracking lips early on but they have long gotten past that.

Don't know if any of that helps or not.:)

Congratulations on the new Springer!! They are a fine weapon. As to the mags, I only have the 1 that came with my GI, and if I remember right, aren`t they Metal Forms? My lone factory mag has been perfect so far, but honestly it has seen limited use....I have 4 Mec-Gars to go along with it.

I bought a new Loaded Springfield in 9mm a few weeks ago. Ordered 4 magazines an 1 holster on the loaded coupon. It was delivered today. In the box were 4 magazines and 4 holsters. I called them and were very apologetic about the mistake. When I send them back they will credit my account and reinburse me for the shipping costs. The only name on the holster is Springfield Armory. It appears to be well made and is boned to fit the gun. I'll try to post some pics later tonight. The costs of the mags and holster on the loaded coupon are a good value.

Welcome where are the pics.
Good point. I should know better! I will try to get some taken tonight or tomorrow and put them up. Thanks for the request. I'd be proud to show it off.

Pics would be great! I agree the prices are great. I just wanted to make sure they were a good value. Thanks for your insight. Look forward to your pictures.

Got Pics!

Here are some pics. Sorry about the quality of photo. I do have a nice camera, I just don't know how to use it yet

This is my SA Loaded 1911 Stainless in .45

p.s. maybe I should start a new thread, but does anyone have a suggestion on what to use to buff out scratches :bawling:. I installed a noobie mark trying to put the slide lock lever back. You can see it in the second pic right under the ".45" engraving. Tell me I am not the first person to do this

I'm a big fan of Wilson Combat,,,,,, but I like the Chip McCormick Extra Power 8 round magazines over the Wilson 47D's. Large numbered witness holes, about $10 cheaper per mag, and each mag comes with two base pads (one for guns with mag funnels and the other one thin). I do like the Wilson "Practical" holster for IDPA use, and their Lo-Profile model for CCW. Blade Tech makes a very good mag holder, and holster for that matter if you want to go the plastic route. The gear that the "Loaded" model comes with is basic to say the least, but it is a start.

Cruiser, sorry it took so long. Been a busy weekend. Here are some pics of the Springfield holster. The wife generally takes the photos, but she was busy. It's not one of my better talents.

I took some others, but I can only get one photo to show up.

Welcome Cruiser!

Is this the one and same Cruiser from THR?

Congrats on the SA. I just got 10 of the mags for my Loaded Champion but haven't had a chance to try them. I have a number of their older mags and have never had any problems.
