Here are my two SW1911's, the 1911PD has an Ed Brown traditional guide rod, trigger, chain-link mainspring housing, and firing pin stop. Cylinder&Slide Tac 2 lockwork, and TiNi sear/hammer pins. A Wilson Combat modified slide stop, and slimline AlumaGrips. Oh and a Ti maispring cap, and the short mag release from my old Springfield Mil-Spec. The blue one has the same hammer/sear/dis-connector arrangement, and a Cylinder&Slide solid trigger. I blacked out the white dots on the rear sights(leaving only the front white dot), and am waiting for a brass bead front sight for the PD. Just thought I would share. John
My first S&W 1911, stainless steel Black Pearlite grips ,Its the one on the bottom, the top is a new Taurus PT 29, 9mm
Back in 2005 I bought a LW Commander the S&W sales or marketing had and influence in. I put new Carbon fiber stocks from Carbon Creations on it. In the last couple of years I have picked up a couple more S&W 1911s from their Performance Center.
No need for a PC 1911 to have a great one. While my avatar isn't the greatest photo, this E Series is a terrific shooter. That is 50 rounds at 25 feet with OGE. (old guy eyes)
