This is a pistol I put together from "odds and ends" for my Dad. He will eventually give it to my boy (his grandson) when he passes away. It consists of a Tactical frame from Armscor, S&A grip safety, Harrison trigger, STI hammer, unknown thumb safety and slide stop. Most of the rest came from Colt including the slide. He's shot it already, and did pretty darned good for a man in his 80s! We're going to change a few things (long Colt trigger, grips, maybe a few other things). Think Wiley Clapp look-sorta-alike.

Having a real hard time typing today??

I'm not a fan of the Billboard Logo so I polished it off along with all the sticky out things. Pearce grip inserts top it off. Since this photo I replaced the mainspring housing with an arched one........... it fills my hand a bit better.

It is a 2011 Mid Size Tactical 10MM. It was my birthday present from my co-workers at Armscor in Nevada. Shawn, a very good friend and gunsmith there fitted a 40 S&W barrel to it for me.

My Ergo XTO and Pearce Gun Grip came in, finally. So much better in looks and grip than the factory walnuts.

Hello all. New to the forum here. Here's a pic of my recently acquired RIA 1911 FS tactical. Didn't care much for the stock wood grip panels. Replaced them with the Magpul panels. Also polished the feed ramp as it was a bit rough. 300 flawless rounds through her. Best $425 dollar handgun I've ever owned.

She shoots great. I swapped out the grips since this was taken for something smoother.

Hello all. New to the forum here. Here's a pic of my RIA 1911 ROCK Ultra FS HC - 10mm. I’ve had it for over a year and have put about 1,000 through it. Love shooting it but didn't care much for the black parkerized finish. I didn’t want to spend too much money on it so instead of buying and replacing parts I just removed certain parts, removed the parkerization from it and nickel plated them. The only parts I replaced were the Black G10 grips with Grey Black Double Stack grips I got from https://www.stonercnc.com/ for $64.95 and added an extended mag release. It’s a great gun for the price and I think it looks better with the modifications.
