I guess I'll get the ball rolling...

The RIA is my first foray in the the 1911's. While I've been shooting handguns for well over 40 years, I've never owned one.
I chose the Rock Island because of owner satisfaction, and superb customer service personnel. I also didn't want to invest a lot of money into something that I might not like
The gun is their basic 5" Government model. I replaced the Mahogany grips with a pair of original WWII "Coltwoods", and opted for an arched MSH from Auto Ordnance. My only real departure from the "stock" look, was the addition of the Ambi-safety (southpaw).
This has been an accurate and totally reliable gun, and a joy to shoot. I certainly have received my money's worth.

Nice rock's guys, I really like what armscor has done here in producing such a good pistol for such a low price.

Here are my Armscore 1911's.
RIA 38Super that I will install a beavertail on this week if I get time, then it will go to my gunsmiths to have the slide cut & a set of Henie Sights installed. Next is the High Standard that will stay stock for now, except for the Houge diamond grips. Then, the RIA GI that I have allready added the magwell, beavertail, hammer, trigger, sear, sear spring & disconnect to. It has the new sights also. All of these 1911' have Houge palm swell grips. Lower right is the RIA Tactical that will get a magwell as soon as it arrives.

AutoMag you made me drool on my keyboard lol. A nice collection you have there.
The .38 Super is the best Match pistol made I use to own Smiths model 52, a 5 round Target pistol why did I ever get rid of it. It shot SWC perfectly

These are by far my favorite RIA's. They are RIA Longslides chambered in 45ACP. They are all hand fitted and are truly a work of art!!! As you can see I had custom serial numbers added JPD1 for me and JMD1 for my son!!!

Were these done at the ARMSCOR facility, or Nevada...or somewhere else?

When in the Marines I toured the Armscor factory, I was inpressed to the quality of work they made with very little tools.

Kinda thought so but couldn't be sure. I'll be glad when they get the new custom shop fired up in Nevada.

The picture of the Longslides is not very good as they were still dirty from shipping. I just kind of wiped them off in a hurry to snap the picture.

The new Custom Shop in Nevada is going to be a big hit when it is operational!!!

I get my engraving done in NV. from a friend on some of my pistols. I just wish Las Vegas would join the boat and let us carry there.:(

here's mine

A stock GI model that I've played with a bit to get my feet wet on "baby step" mods

Here's my 38 Super that plan to pimp out with gold and pearl sometime down the road
