Anyone else these are the best i have there have been other books but many not as good

+1 on the Jerry K books. I have vol I and will be adding vol II soon. I will probably add the others too as funds allow.

How could i forget the Blackhawk that is a good one i got one of the first runs

If you can find a copy, I'd suggest Hallock's .45 Auto Handbook. It's been out of print for quite a while. but a few copies are around.

He gives a great perspective on the maintenance, tuning and history of the pre-1980 1911s.
