A guy told me he just got a DW (pre cz) 1911 that is a pt someting (his words) and is a full size .45 with fixed sights. Is anyone familiar with this model? He said he is asking 650. but I am going to swing by and check it out anyway.

Well I just saw it and it's pm-s so its a pointman instead. It has a fixed gis type sight in the rear and dovetail up front. It's tight frame to it and barrel lockup and does not look to be fired much. It does have some light scratches, nothing major, that would probably buff out. It may have been carried some. It's on consignment and the 650.00 is an out the door price. The guy may consider 600. otd but he will have to talk to him. I am kind of interested becase fixed sight pm's are not real common. I'm not a fan of gi sights but I stil like them better than the bomar type. There can still be novak's cut in or the yobo retro's or king battle sights will fit and I like those.

What do you guys think the value is?
550-600$ is what i would go for esp if ya have 100$ ya offer 550
That's about what I figured.

I think this pma-s is probably it except it has adjustable sights and is blued. Well, the listing says it only comes in stainelss so the a probably just means adjustable.

Jeez, I meant to say battle sights in the post above, not babble.
It's just PM-S? No other numbers or letters? That just means it's a Pointman - Stainless.

"A" means Aussie, which is the model with the flat-top slide.
Just pm-s

OK, I thought maybe it meant adjustable as it had an adjustable sight in the pic. I guess I could have checked the guide at 1911forum. Any idea on value?

It's odd, I can't find anything on a pm-s anywhere, jsut the pma-s. Did they just make one?:)
I just read that the older ones had their own front sight cut, 330 wide, x 65 x .090 deep, and there is no replacement made. Not real comforting, especially since the .090 deep is deeper than other front dovetails.

I decided against it. I just don't like the idea of the front sight they use. It may last forever but the first time I say that something would happen. I may put a down on a fusion instead.
