I have a question for Keith about the recoil spring in the PM7. Why does DW use a 18.5# spring in it? I thought the standard recoil spring weight for a full-size was 16#. Just curious; thanks!

We used to use 16 lb. springs in our target models and 18.5 in our defense models and found we had fewer problems with the 18.5 so we made the switch about 4 or so years ago.

Thanks! I just had to replace the recoil spring, and decided to go with a 15#. I didn't shoot it yet (been sort of out of action for a while with my health), but to be on the safe side I also have a 16# and 18# in the range bag.

They work better with full-power SD loads, and are almost a must for +p ammo.

Well, I'm glad I bought a few different sizes. I guess the only way to tell which works the best is to go out and try!

Good to know. It's probably getting to spring replacement time on my Razorback.
