I am currently putting together a 1911, I know, I know, I'm the only one here doing that. I was thinking about finishing it in a nice black manganese park, but I am worried about dimensional changes from the parkerizing. Two questions,
first how much change will there be and in which direction, that is, will the part get bigger or smaller? Thanks

I guess you could say parts will get somewhat bigger as in tolerances will get tighter.. but it really depends on the park job .. hard to give a actual measurement.. worst it can do is make it a little stiff to cycle and need some extra break in
