My wifes Bersa at the Range

I had gotten my wife a Bersa Thunder .380 for x-mas, and I finally had a chance to run a few mags thru it today. I am truly impressed with this little thing. Distance was 10 yards offhand.

Very nice. I had at one time a Bersa, Walther PPK and a Walther PPKs and my Bersa shot every bit as well as the Walther's!!!:smile:
A lady at work has one and she brings it along for our shooting outings. I always wanted to hate it, but I can't - it's a GREAT little pistol. Personally, I would choose it over the Walther. (And I owned a PPK/S for many years).

Aint that just the way it goes, you really look forward to hating something, just absolutely want to do it. I mean you even get prepared for it, and then it comes along and impresses you enough that you can't hate it. It ruins the whole day, cause you spent all that time preparing for nothing.
I got one for my g/f for Christmas as well – haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet but it’s good to hear it’s doing well.
They are great little guns...the only problem for my wife has been that the safety is difficult for her to switch off...
Those little bersa's are a great little gun, I wanted to hate them when I started selling guns and it has gotten to the point I have considered buying one myself.

My wife, even though she hasn`t had time to shoot it yet, can handle the safety on this gun. Her arthritis makes the .45s too punishing for her wrists, and racking the slide is very hard for her on the .45s, but it appears the little Bersa will be right up her alley, as her fingers and thumb are still very strong. Now I just need a little better weather to get her out shooting the gun.
I think I got one that is a little stiffer than most from what I've heard...Bersa would probably fix it, but I never bothered...she bought a Glock 26 a few weeks ago and has been carrying it...she likes it, but its a little too thick and chunky for her...a couple of weeks ago I found out she had an EMP in layaway...I think the EMP will be a lasting relationship...she's been eyeballing them in the gun rags for a while now (<<<yep...she reads them too).

From what I understand somebody at the gun shop had an EMP and let her check it out...that was all it took. I carried a Bersa Thunder 9 Ultra Compact before I got my 1911, Bersa makes some great guns for a great price.
I took a chance on one when I saw the $219 price tag.

I'm glad I did.
It's been a great little gun thru 500 rounds so far

dependable and surprisingly accurate

these at at 20yrds, arms rested on table

I trust it's reliabilty enough that i gave it to my daughter for her 21st birthday last Sept

I know exactly how that feels. Hated Glocks for years for all the hype around them.
Then one day at the range another member offered to let me shoot his G17, not wanting to be rude I shot the magazine empty. I walked away that day wanting to kick my self for shooting that stinking gun because after shooting it, I actually liked it and have since added it to my buy list. Just have not had the money to get one yet.
I have some revolvers on the list in front of the Glock and a XD9mm long slide.
