This is a 1911 with a Remington-Rand slide on an Essex frame. It has been worked and reworked several times as various gifts to me from my dad. Before anyone jumps all over me for "destroying" the value of this gun. Please know this was a pieces and parts reject the USMC got rid of. A USMC armorer pieced it together for my dad who gave it to me 12 years later.
