I got my C Daly new at a gun show here in East Texas about 3 mos. ago. I paid $360.00 out the door. When I took it to the range, I fired 200 rds. thru it and experienced 3 or 4 failures to extract. Being a tightwad, I went to the "other" 1911 org site and found an article for tuning up an extractor. I thought I had followed directions, but when I tried it out at the range it wouldnt extract anything....panic ensues. I ordered 2 extractors in a row and neither would work. I finally took it to a guy who works on and builds 1911's and he repairs with a file the original extractor to work. The one I bought online and the one sent to me by C.Daly Inc. were both too short. It seems that mine requires a slightly longer extractor than most others. Anyway lesson learned and now my baby performs like a champ....I love it !

That's something I've learned also, not all 1911s are equal.

Let me add my welcome too!

Here's my EFS fitted with a Storm Lake 400 Cor-Bon barrel, Greider Vidicki style short match trigger, and super curly makore grips.
