I want to put a different main spring housing my gun, how hard is it to do?

There may be a little fitting required, especially if the front "fingers" don't sit flush. I've installed a S&A magwell using Chris' method from his website:

I didn't find it necessary to do any other fitting. The magwell may not be perfectly flush on the inside of the magwell, but it doesn't matter to me.

I have used the Kimber magwell once and the Smith & Alexander magwell twice, all 3 were on Kimber pistols. I didn't have to do any fitting on any of them. In my opinion, blending the magwell isn't necessary but it's a nice cosmetic touch.

I have used a S&A on my Kimbers and Para without any fitting what so ever. My friends have had to do some fitting with Wilsons. It is real easy to do, Mirando

I put a Kimber "Mainspring housing with magazine well, full size, flat, Stainless" on my Son's CDP ProII. Maybe because it is a Kimber part going on a Kimber the fit was perfact. Or maybe I just got lucky. In either case I was pleased with quality, fit and finish...
