I'm just looking for feedback from the owners of Wolff's new 8-round 1911 mag. I got one as a freebee and I like it. Shot 50 rounds with it - no problems so far. I'm thinking of switching to it rather than dealing with Wilson 47Ds which are starting to show wear and tear (I don't blame the Wilsons - I don't baby 'em - for now I got me Wolff replacement springs for the Wilsons). If I had to update my fleet of mags - Wolff's are simply less expensive, but are they as reliable?

Got the answer I needed. The plastic basepad on the Wolf magazine (ACT-MAG clone) cracked badly yesterday when I dropped it for a reload. That mag was dropped less than a dozen times before the crack occured. The basepads on Wilson 47Ds are yet to break after two years of thorough abuse. So I'm sticking with 47Ds with Wolff springs.
