I have not heard anything lately, does anyone have news on what is happening with him?

I did see the Pro American rally that shut down the liberal snivelers by revving Harley Motorcycles and chanting USA... but that is the last I saw or heard.

I think Joe drew a line in the sand and this American is on his side of that line. Stop breaking in to our houses. PERIOD! :nonono:

(thanks for the forum guys that we can actually have an opinion, very refreshing) :flag:

I saw a clip on the fox website where Hannity was talking to his attorney and asking him if he thought charges would be brought but that is the last I have seen. I am curious about it also.

I consider this man a hero! No one has even the right to tresspass on your property, much less come on it and steal from you or yours, including your neighbors.

Evidently you have no idea what it''s like to live in a city where it''s not even safe to take the garbage to the end of the drive after dark.

Being Christian, or not Christian has nothing to do with this. The issue here is being a diligent citizen.

When someone comes on your property it is not very smart at all, to sit back and just let them tote it off, or sit back and wait to see if they intend to do you harm. They''ve broken the law twice right there.

These were grown men, they weren''t kids on a lark. They were already on a path to self-destruct. Good riddance.

If more people took the path of deadly force I firmly believe there would be less crime

I know exactly what it is like to have to be careful taking out the trash. I live a stones throw from the southern border. My world has changed so much in the last 14 years of living in the same house you would not believe it.

If anyone has news or update on Joe post up please... and I agree 100% with what has been posted so far.

A shame 1shot we have to live like this. it is like we have to take the Policing of our homes in our hands. The police have great reaction time but in most cases things happen before thet get there. I empty the trash locked and loaded.

It is the same way with me, Being out in the dark with no street lights at all & nothing but horse ranch propertys on long and dark dirt roads we have a problem with home invaiders, and rual Gang Bangers walking down the streets going from car to car looking for the quick buck $ I keep my car gate closed and like to BBQ and watch Horror movies late at night So yes ''cocked & locked'' even walking in my yard, Anything goes down around here it would take a Police Chopper to try to see anything moving around here. And that would be to late...

12/07/07 uodate on Joe Horn

UPDATED 12/7/2007: Related post here.
The Houston Chronicle reports new information about the Pasadena, Texas, case in which Joe Horn shot two men he believed had burglarized his neighbor’s house. The suspected burglar who was previously identified as Miguel DeJesus was apparently using an alias and his real name was Hernando Riascos Torres. Both men are being investigated as possible members of an area crime ring:
“Two burglary suspects shot by a Pasadena homeowner last month were illegal immigrants from Colombia, and one man had been deported nearly 10 years ago, authorities said Thursday. Authorities also said they are investigating whether Diego Ortiz, 30, and Hernando Riascos Torres, 48, were part of a crime ring linked to burglaries and the use of fake immigration documents.â€
Torres had a criminal record and had been deported in 1999. Both men used aliases and had fake IDs:
“Pasadena Police Department Capt. A.H. “Bud†Corbett said Torres was deported to Colombia in 1999 after a 1994 cocaine-related conviction. He was on parole until 2017, Corbett said.
Police found a Puerto Rican identification card on Ortiz. He had two aliases. Torres had identification cards from Colombia, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. He had three aliases.â€
The report also discussed Horn’s neighbors, who are apparently Vietnamese and who may have been targeted because they are immigrants:
“State and federal authorities are investigating whether the two men, who lived in southwest Houston, were involved in the crime ring, Corbett said. Police found almost $2,000 in cash in a white bag the men allegedly took from the home in the 7400 block of Timberline before Horn shot them.
Investigators also are trying to determine whether the men knew about the home or family before burglarizing it. “I don’t believe the victim was a random choice … but there’s no evidence of a relationship either,†between the homeowners and suspects, Corbett said.
Horn told the operator that he did not know his neighbors well. Neighbors said the family moved into the home next to Horn’s house about four months ago. “I can’t comment,†a woman at the home said over the phone Thursday night.
A source told police that Ortiz and Torres burglarized the home, in part, because the homeowners were immigrants. “They targeted foreign-born people,†Corbett said. “They felt they were easier victims.â€
Little is known about the homeowners, who have Vietnamese surnames. Neighbors said they own a small business near their Village Grove East subdivision. Records filed with the Office of the Secretary of State of Texas show that the family owns a dry clening business on Fairmont Parkway.â€

What's a No Bill, longtooth? I'm not familiar with that term?

Sorry to be so late.

In Texas no matter how righteous the shooting it goes before a Grand Jury.
No Bill means the GJ refuses to indite them & they are not charged.

Questions and Doubts in a Texas Shooting Case

By RALPH BLUMENTHAL

I am quite sure the illegal aliens did much public service, and helped old ladys, and courted more than just one girl, and helped at the VA during Christmas, and fed the poor.

I mean, of course they did not deserve to be shot, you and I break in to homes all the time and take everything we can carry right?

It is just so senseless that Joe Horn took a stand, he should have let his neighbors be plundered and done nothing. That is the stand we should all take as a collective society right? NOTHING is worth killing a person, so just be a victim. OH I GOT IT...

Save a life, BE A VICTIM.

Cool bumper sticker eh?

I know if you were in the same situation you would do nothing but wish the thugs Merry Christmas, right?

Thought so... we should NEVER protect each other or ourselves under any circumstances.

Thanks for the enlightenment, I am going to destroy (not sell) all my guns... but if I do that, will you promise me they will just take all my stuff and not kill me, or rape my girls?

You make me that promise and I will disarm.

I am so glad I read this wonderful paper today...

I did a Google and Houston Chronicle search yesterday and could find nothing!

It appears that it is a forgotten issue. No charges etc..

God Bless Texas!!!!
