They can't keep up with the demand for AR's right now, so they stop making 1911's, I was told.:frown:

It's a shame since they make some fine 1911's.

They have a backlog I was told up to 2 years so they stopped taking orderes.

I was able to pick up a new RRA Basic Limited Match at Coliseum Gun Traders (Long Island NY) a few months ago. They had a few new RRA 1911's in stock. You might be luck to find some in shops out there until RR gets back into making more.

At the m1911.org site one member stated today (9-17-'09) marks the one year anniversary that RRA stopped taking 1911 orders. That said, you can still find them trickling into some local shops. Mine just got in a stainless Basic Limited Match listed at $2499.99.

There's one,maybe two, NIB at Rampart Range in Pocahontas - the range owner was/is sponsored by RRA. I didn't look to close at it though, since it's just a smidgen out of my price range.
