I just got my first 1911, the Ruger SR1911 and now I'm looking at other ones, Colt, Remington, different finishes, grips, etc. So is one 1911 enough?
Congrats on obtaining SR1911; your first 1911! I assure you that that will NOT be your last 1911.I just got my first 1911, the Ruger SR1911 and now I'm looking at other ones, Colt, Remington, different finishes, grips, etc. So is one 1911 enough?
Of course not !!!So is one 1911 enough?
I started with one of the low-end Turkish 1911's. It is a great gun and shoots very well...then I wanted to compare it to a mid-grade ($$$$) so I got a Taurus, then a Para-Ordnance...and the story expands. Now I have twelve ranging from a couple of the Turkish guns at the low end of the budget to a Dan Wesson, a Colt Delta Elite 10mm and my Springfield Long-Slide V-16 in 45 SUPER. All of them are fine guns....I guess I qualify as a collector at this point.
I am pushing fifteen 1911s and I still HAVE to have more. My next will probably be an R1 Enhanced Carry from Remington. But three I must have are a 9mm Colt Commander, a 400 CORBON build (probably on a Springer), and a 357 SIG 1911 Government from SIG.
I know and a 10mm. Dang, so many 1911s and not enough $$ for them all. Then you need to move up to 45Super and 460 Rowland...both comped of course.

Sig advertised their 1911's in 357 Sig a while ago I have yet to see one.I am pushing fifteen 1911s and I still HAVE to have more. My next will probably be an R1 Enhanced Carry from Remington.
