I saw this on another board and thought it was useful info...so I'll start it off here...
Heres a skinny guy (me) hiding a Stinger...

P.S. I just ordered a belt from Milt Sparks to go with the Versa Max II I'm wearing here...I should have ordered it with the holster:redface:

You are well concealed. A quality belt & high quality holster, put it on, cover it up, & leave it alone. No one will know you are armed.
We tend to be self-conscious about our carry, but the regular joe isn't paying attention.
I'll have to get the wife to take some pics. I carry a 5" in a ubg iwb holster and can usually cover it with a shirt, but that all ends on Tuesday next week after I break in my GRP II:dancingbananna:

Thats true...I'm not self-conscious about it myself, though alot of people are.
I just thought the pics may help somebody decide what may work for them.

Before I got the Versa Max II, I would have never believed it would work as well as it does on a slim guy like myself. There are many great holsters out there, but very few ways of knowing how they work without buying them first.
How many of you have a box of like new, hardly used holsters that just didnt work for you?
I feel that I am pretty well concealed. My wife knows that I always carry but she still asks me if I have my gun with me!!!!:biggrin:
I haven`t had my wife take any pics, but even though she knows I carry nearly all the time I`m off work, she still forgets that I`m armed because she doesn`t see it. So if she doesn`t know....probably no one else does either.
Your gun is not printing while you are standing upright and still. However, does it print while you bend or twist? How about reaching up for that box of cereal off the top shelf at the store? I've been carrying for a while and have found that some clothing materials and sizes are better than others, ie, bold prints are better than solid colors.

Just thinking out loud.
It prints if I bend over...but its good to go otherwise. If I wear a shirt thats not long enough, it will get over the top of the gun when I'm sitting.

The holster keeps it pretty snug up against me...so its hid when I'm twisting or reaching.
I'm not anal about keeping it hid...as I've said before...I'll make my best effort not to scare the little old ladies and the sheeple, by keeping it out of plain sight.
But if somebody notices...I'm not really worried about it. After all...if I seem paranoid about having it, I think that would raise more eyebrows, than some guy casually walking around with a 1911 on his hip. But I could be wrong...it wouldnt be the first time.
Only in Texas

At the risk of sounding like a doofus, here's a story for you.
I'm at the supermarket and suddenly feel an urgent call of nature - and I mean the more serious of the two. Bad Chinese, maybe? Anyway........
I get in the stall, lock the door, and drop trou, completely oblivious to the Sig 232 in a Milt Sparks OWB on my hip. The gun takes a tumble, hits the ground, and, OF COURSE, slides into the next stall over, which is also occupied. I bend far enough over to assess the situation, and I see the guy's foot pushing the pistol back over to my side.
"Thank you, Sir." I say.
"Yep". he says.

EDIT: Pappy - don't do it..............don't do it...........
It could happen to anybody...but I couldnt help but laugh as I read that.
G
I figure if you can put it on and forget it's there yourself, not many others will be able to pick it out. I pretty much agree with Longtooth, though, if you buy good gear it should take care of you pretty well.
DD next time remove the pistol and place it under your armpit lol.
Ridge,

I see in the pics it has a "sweatshield" on the backside. Have you had any probs getting a good grip when you draw? My one "game"holster has one and I haven't been able to figure out a good draw technique that puts my thumb on the safety as I draw. I still have to re-position my hand as I bring it up on target. I thought about getting one similar to yours until I ran into this situation. Tracy
Tracy I high thumb my 1911 when I draw. I grasp it and lift straight up and tilt till my barrel is aiming downrange as my other hand assumes it position as i am pushing it forward and up to get my sight picture. As it is going up I press down on my high thumb releasing the safteyand by time I get my sight picture I should be moving the trigger back.
Tracy,
When I draw my thumb is on top of the rear sight...but as soon as it gets clear I move it to the safety. With a little practice it works like a charm. I have some draw times worth braggin about...but I wont.

Here's a question...

I had a VMII for my G19 and I tried to wear like you have demonstrated in your photo, but the grip always printed. Now I wear a 1911 or CW9, but I still have the same issue.

Further, I have discovered that any IWB I wear must be worn at 3 o'clock, directly behind my arm to completely disappear. It is much less comfortable, but it is the only way I can properly conceal.

Am I doing something wrong or are my love handles getting in the way? Mind you, I am only 5'9" and 175 lbs, so no beer belly to speak of, just love handles...

Thanks for your input!!
I'm not sure how to answer that...

You may be looking too hard...its easy to see if you know its there. Just a thought...
