I have been mulling over how to "seal" (read: finish) a set of revolver stock(s) crafted from Myrtlewood. How does four coats of satin-finish Spar Varnish and a light "rubdown" with 0000 grade steel wool between coats as well as vaccuming them with a furniture brush head on a "shop-vac" to produce a virtually impregnable "lifetime" finish?
It may sound extreme, but I believe that it would work, and work extremely well! Don't you?
