I've been reading the forum for about a month now but thought I should say hi.
I'm live in Va. Central part but from the mountains. I've been a firearms instructor for 34 years. I teach Long Range Precision rifle. This will probably be my last year, I'm disabled and can't get around so well.

As much as I love my long range weapons, the 1911 has been my go to pistol for near 50 years. I'm a Nam Vet, US Army 101st Airborne 1971 thru 1974.

For the last couple of years I've been tinkering around do a few things to my 1911's. I really enjoy working on them and wish I'd started this 45 years ago.

Nice forum with some very knowledgeable folks.
