We had a couple of blips concerning the upcoming change and it didn't seem to irritate too many people. I did have one, mooozart send me this message:

"seems to me that this is a big pain.........with so many good 1911 sites available why bother unless you have nothing else to do. take me off your email list please."

If anyone feels the same I am glad to delete their account, although I don't understand the lack of understanding for this type of thing.

ya Can't Make everyone happy all the time .. every Site i have ever been a member off has had growing pains where they had to do software changes etc etc .. its only a problem truly for the person having to do it

I deleted the guys account but like I told him they have been around so long their growing pains are long in the past.

That it Jerry we got that At DC when we had to upgrade software and earlier this year with the host switch .. Just close the account and say goodbye because they would have found some reason to be a pain later 99% of the time

Jerry no need to worry I spoke to the Chief and explain to him and he is here. At anytime anyone can lose the internet connection same thing you can't get here, so I would not worry about it. As bud said you can't please everyone.

FWIW I?ve been very impressed with the site so far; admin seems concerned with everyone?s online experience. I understand the problems with getting a new site off the ground. As long as admin keeps other the members and me informed and up to date I?ve got no problems. Anything worth having is worth the effort.

JDC jerry is on top of the food chain as far as helping everyone out.
I wish I knew half as much about computers as he does and he is the nice guy.
Me I just say it like I see it, yet I have found some good people here that I know consider as friends. I can help out most people as jerry and the other Mods on guns pretty well but I am not the PC type. I am a Marine, need i say more?:wink:

Hey, I'm still a new guy here but this seems to have all the makings of a great forum. After twenty years in small business I've learned that a certain segment of the general human race is impossible to please and goes out of it's way to make everyone else as miserable as they are. Screw 'em! If you don't like the food, don't go to the restaurant bud.

That's why I'm trying to work out the kinks in a new business plan. The idea is to run a successful and profitable business without employees (oh, don't get me started there) or customers without the inherent risks of stock investing. Just haven't got the whole cash flow thing worked out yet.....:wink:

You're doing a great job, just ignore the hecklers!
