I'm trapped in Nancy Pelosi's district but an avid shooter and gun owner. I know, I'm behind enemy lines. But it was worse, I used to live in NYC where it was almost impossible to own a firearm or practice shooting. When I was a kid in the 80's and I learned to shoot pistol with a Govt. Model 1911, so it's always had a place in my heart. Today, I'm a happy owner of a Colt 1911 Commander (series 80). Sure, I've got other pistols but this is a 1911 forum so who cares, haha! Anyway, I joined to learn more about my Advantage Arms conversion slide (and trying to find out about magazine cross-compatibility). I bought it a couple of years ago but didn't shoot it much until now. Since COVID, I've been practicing with 22LR and saving my 'real ammo'. I'm planning on modifying the Adv. Arms slide to add an optics rail so I can compete in Bullseye competitions at my local club. I plan to share things I've learned shooting more 22LR.
