You can all hate me now.

It's okay. I understand it. I hated all of you. You smug little bastiges (Johnny Dangerous reference) have been teasing me for 6 months with your ridiculously sweet photos. So damn sweet I've had to get dental cleanings TWICE in that time period.

Well, now its my turn. Eat your hearts out boys, this one is mine:

Those top-of-slide serrations are something Bob asked if he could try on my build. Boy and am I ecstatic that I said yes.

I'm making my new dental appointment right now ... the sweetness is just too much to handle by myself. :dancingbananna:

You are correct. I hate you. :plugears: I have beening waiting over a year now.

In their defense I never placed my order until January of this year. :hairpull::frown:
Been there, done that. I first started thinking about a custom back in April/May of last year. Spent literally COUNTLESS hours on 1911 forums (this, the OTHER one, and the 1911 forum at GlockTalk) and spent numerous hours perusing the websites of many of the well-known custom manufacturers.

Eventually decided that I couldn't find a smith I really "jived" with ... a lot of the full-house custom jobs I've seen, while beautiful, don't appeal to my own tastes. Then found Fusion and knew instantly that these were MY style 1911s. Then it took like 3 months to figure out how to tell the wife that I wanted to spend a few grand on a toy (while we make a decent living, we're generally frugal people). Well, she wanted to spend a little money renovating our bedroom (our apartment is a fixer-upper) which quickly ballooned to over $9K. I kept my mouth shut and when it was all finished I said, "By the way, I'm going to have a custom handgun built ... you got a bedroom, I'm getting something to defend it." :shades:

Finally ordered back in November I think. The wait, while unbelievably excruciating, is now proving to be entirely worth it.

Okay people ... here's some ammo porn for ya'll:

This is what 1450 glowing rounds of 180gr Georgia-Arms .40S&W looks like and no, that "glow" isn't photoshopped:

My Fusion is going to get fed
