How about a Detonics from 1984 I bought new in 84. And an earlier one from 79-80 which I found in a LGS last year.
Here is an AMT Harballer I bought new in 84. The one change I have made is to replace the grips with some from Magpul in this picture.
Looking for a cheap alternative to firing .45s I opted for the GSG 1911 22. I already have two Ruger Mark IV 22/45s and a Mark III Hunter but I wanted something different. The GSG looks and feels like a standard Government Model. I fired about 1000 rounds with it so far and am very pleased with it's performance. I started with CCI Patriot Ammo, the Red, White and Blue offering and then switched to Blazer. It has the same velocity but I bought it for $ 20 a brick and stocked up on it. This gun is quickly becoming my favorite. I received an additional 5 magazines that I found on E-Bay for $17 each. They are the same mags I've seen in my LGS for $40. I also ordered some +4 followers and +2 base pads to give me 16 rounds per magazine. No that I expect to miss a lot but it's fun to just keep shooting when you can. I like this gun better than my Marks. I think I may just start shooting Steel Challenge with it.
