Well as some of you know, I had ordered a lower and an upper from RRA in Feb of last year, and have to recieve them. Needless to say, I have nothing good to say about RRA. Well, supposedly the upper will be here anytime this month, but the lower was still 6 months out. So we switched to a Bushmaster lower, and its supposed to be here this month too. Aggravating.

Anyhow, about a month ago, I was teaching a Rescue Technician class when we got on the subject of guns, and AR's specifically, and I kinda told my sob story to the class, and one guy says, "I got one I want to sell." Well, knowing I had one on order, I knew that I needed a second like I needed a hole in my head, but as usual, I asked how much he wanted for it. 500$, and its only had about 200 rounds through it. Holy Mackerel, I said I would love to have it, but it would be late February before I would have the funds. He said he would hold it for me, and since it was a deal I couldn't pass up, and the possibility of new gun bans in the future, I figured get what you can get while you can. So, I picked it up today, with one 20 round mag. Pinned stock, but I think I can alleviate that.

DPMS A-15, its identical to yours except mine has the older style rear sight, and the stock is fixed with pins. That will be soon alleviated

Let me start by saying I'm not brand bashing...but have you checked the carrier key and castle nut to see if they are properly staked. It just seems to be a common problem on various makes of AR's.

EDIT: You may already know about that...I just thought I'd throw it out there to save you some trouble down the road.

I haven't looked yet Ridge, but yes I knew that about DPMS, I am gonna give a good once over, and if any thing is loose, then I'll deal with it. Thanks for the heads up though.

Yup, waiting on some funds closer to summer myself. Decided on a "Black Rifle Works" AR--They're in Raleigh. I prefer a face to face transaction. Tracy

He got a high dollar one...
He's got more money than I got LOL.

I've got an EOTech at home that I was keeping for the other parts I have on order, but it may end up on this one in the meantime.
