I don't think it will get anywhere...but it never hurts to make a few phone calls to our representatives.

I just watched an interview on CNN that was surprisingly very pro-2nd amendment. It would seem that the Heller decision has done us more good than many (myself included) have anticipated.
Make the calls!
H.R. 45
(In the Search box, select bill # and type in HR #45)
hr 45 is just one of 11 bills they have on gun control. This bills where more then likely on the books before obama took office... he and the congress just get to take credit.
The calls need to be made. only a few calls on a bill that has no chance makes them think we are asleep.

We are in the worst war of our lives right now. This one will be won or lost on the telephone, email, fax machines & hard copy letters to the editors. It will be won or lost before we get another chance at the ballot box.

Never let it rest.
Just a little story to represent how calls and showing up at government meetings can make a difference - -

Many many years ago, before I moved here - one of the local reservoirs became a popular building site. Now multi-million dollar houses surround the huge lake.

But back in the day, the wealthy property owners endorsed a local ordinance to prevent duck hunters from bringing guns onto the 'water works' property(they didn't like the early morning noise!). The language in the ordinance was very constricting to prevent even handguns and bb guns.

So recently a group of 2nd Amendment people banded together to get the ordinance revised. Last week the amended ordinance was passed to reflect a more accurate purpose. One still cannot hunt ducks on the lake, but open carry(we're an open carry state), and concealed carry are now permitted.

So it can happen. Make the calls and get involved!

(EDIT: Oh, and if you don't know how to contact your Representative or Senator(state or local), you can visit my blog - Link below - I have a direct link on the blog where you can type in your zip code and find them.)

The second amendment will always be attacked and we need to be ever vigilant in our defense of 2A. No politician in Washington DC wants the second Amendment to survive, regardless of the political party. The reason is quite simple If the second amendment ever is over ridden the professional politicians and there corporate owners will be in charge of a nation of slaves

Agreed 100%

I believe there are a few good guys up there...just not near enough of them and peer pressure usually gets the best of them eventually.

I agree there are a few. Ron Paul certainly comes to mind.
Hr45

I contacted my rep. Mr. Barrosso here in Wyoming and he told me that there was only one sponsor of this bill so it is not likely to go anywhere. I hope he is correct. Write your reps.
