Hello all,
I am a student at a small State run college in South Western Pa and ever since the shooting at Va tech I have been wanting to be allowed to carry on my campus. Until the Shootings at Va Tech my campus was completely unarmed the "public safety" officers were only armed with pepper spray and hand-cuffs. But now they are armed and we have a txt mess system that sends out txt if something is wrong but I would feel more safe if i was allowed to carry for my own protection but here is a link that you should show your kids and maybe get them involved http://www.concealedcampus.org/faq.htm# thank you

I am a grandparent that would like to see the college campus victim rich issue resolved before my Grandchildren get in college. One is only 4yrs out right now.
I know there are many on this board & others that have children & grandchildren on a college campus right now. Get involved & you will have my prayer support as well as my voice & pen.

My son may be going to Va. Tech next year. They say lightning doesn't strike the same place twice but I really don't want to gamble his life on that.

Virginia has a incredibly myopic stance on collecting potential victims into victim rich pools (schools) and then advertising the fact to predators who have no qualms about violating the law. If someone is bent on committing murder, why should they care about violating a school's no-carry law?

My kids are in their 30's and beyone college age, but it's still well worth supporting. The grandkids will be going before I know it.

Thanks for that link RR. I've been talking to my 16 granddaughter about this very subject. She feels it's 'cool' to carry on campus, but she feels, 'It'll never happen to me!' :hairpull:
I have 2 more years to tune her in...
