Received this from my local NRA EVC...

S 816 and HR 1684, introduced in the US Senate and US House of Representatives, would reinstate the previous administration's rule change to allow lawfully licensed persons to bear a concealed firearm for self protection in National Parks.

The legislation may be found at http://www.senate.gov and http://www.house.gov .

Great news. I think we all know about the "wild west shootout" comments from the left and the same thing happened with AR. Several years after arkansas became shall issue crime had decreased in the state but robberies increased in the city parks as there was no carry.

A law was introduced to allow carry in these parks and it was being discussed on the local talk radio station on their local talk show and one of the hosts was originally from ILL and kept bringing up "wild west shoot out" (he's a news anchor at a local tv station now). Well the law was passed allowing it, robberies in the park became unheard of and no wild west shoot outs. We all knew where that was going but they just do not get it. The national parks are on their way to becoming more safe.
