Finally got the bobtailing finished on my sig carry, I think the full size is next but sometimes later on. Bobtail done by me, the frame and msh are bead blasted by a local gunsmith.:

Thanks Brian, I'm in love with this gun all over again. Not meant as a brag at all, but I'm liking the 2 tone better than I thought I would and it's like having a new gun. It's all stainless so if I get tired of 2 tone I can have the whole thing bead blasted.

No, the whole thing was nitron from the factory. Sig makes them all stainless and nitrons over the stainless for their nitron finish models. Same guns, same parts. With the us made p220's, etc. it's the same way. The frames are alloy but the slides are all stainless with the nitron models just nitroned over. The german models are not stainless.

The frame was nitron also and it was bead blasted off today.

Before, it's the one on the right of course.:

Darn that is one fine looking rig...I would like to do that to my Platinum Carry...I already got rid of the retro trigger and the aluminum grip panels...now BobTailing would be the cat's whiskers...I know you did the work yourself...but who do you know commercially that would do as nice a job...? Thanks for sharing...

That is a beautiful job. Sometimes I think would really like to have a bobtail on my Kimber carry but then I remember I really like the Mag well.:hairpull:

I like the hammer a lot, I may have to put the sigs on the block though, the 2 1911's. I figured out who made a lot of parts, but not the hammer.

Man you do terrific work. This is not your first as I recall you have Bobed others. I had a CBOB, a Cobra, and a Talon Bob....got rid of them all as I need the arched msh to shoot the way I want to shoot and simply could not shoot a bobed gun no matter how nice and concealable they are. That said, yours look gorgeous.
