These bullets are expensive, about 76 cents each, but if you are going to deer hunt with a 22 caliber rifle (.223, 22-250, 220 Swift and such)...these bullets are capable (and then some). They do require 1 in 9" twist...or faster.

I fired a few, at a muzzle velocity of 2,875 fps, into solid, hard packed, sorta rocky ground (mostly slate rock) just to see how far they would penetrate and if they would stay together.

They worked just like they are advertised...the petals came off after expansion (this probably wouldn't happen in a deer). The retained weight, minus the petals, averaged 43 grains.

They penetrated 8 inches. Here is a pic of one of the bullets...
