Okay I've done it. I got a World War Two. Auto Ordnance. I've owned many makes and brands of 1911 pistols over the years. This Auto Ordnance is nice.
I've grown to appreciate the lines of WW II 45's and early A1 transitional pistols. This one has got the "look" Fit and finish is great. The A-O folks really did a nice job as far as not over doing the roll marks. It's very nice so far. No, I haven't shot it yet but everything seems to be as it should be.
A-O got my attention when they made the slide serrations vertical again. The big selling point for me was when I found that they now don't lower the ejection port. An expert in WW II 1911's will probably find some if not many differences that would steer it away from an accurate reproduction, fortunately I am not an expert. I really like this pistol.
