This will mainly thrill the Auto Mag collectors on the forum if there is any besides me and Barry!!! ENJOY!!

This is the actual Auto Mag used by Clint Eastwood in the movie Sudden Impact. Two were built for the movie, an actual live firing model and a blank firing version!!!

This is owned by a good friend of mine named Walter Sanford. He is the son of the late Harry Sanford the originator and owner of the Auto Mag Corporation. Here is the CLINT-2 in a case that I built for Walter at his request.

Yep, that's a thrill for me!

Something I've wondered about regarding that (those) Sudden Impact guns:
I had always heard that the 8.5" barrels were made without a vent rib to approximate (if not duplicate?) the weight of the ribbed 6.5" barrel for function.
If that's the case, how well did/does the 8.5" ribbed "live" Sudden Impact gun function with real ammo?

Automag I a truely inpressed with your collection. Have you ever fired it I am not sure if Clint could handle it lol.
I have never had the opportunity to fire it. I sure would love to though. Clint is getting older, in his Dirty Harry days he handled it rather well!!

From what I can gather from talking to Walter who is a personal friend of Clint Eastwood, Clint has fired the live firing Auto Mag and I heard that he was pretty good with it. I also have a blank that was used in the movie in the blank firing model. Pretty neat if you are into the Auto Mag!!!

Automag, I've got to say that thing's beautiful! Just awesome to see! Thanks for sharing, and it's VERY interesting to know you're friends with Sanford's son. That's amazing.

What can I say but long live the Automag!
