Just wondering if there are any fellow duck & goose hunters on here.

Like to hunt ducks but have not done so in years. Pheasant hunted this year and have been skunked so far. Tried deer hunting for the first time and was skunked also, I became hooked however.

I`m not much into duck or goose hunting....I know lots of guys that die for it. Now get me out to Northern Nebraska or South Dakota pheasant hunting...that`s a whole other story. Love it to pieces. It`s beautiful watching a good dog work it`s butt off for you and go on point. And of course there`s deer hunting. Been a deer hunter for 35 years.

No... not hunted ducks. But, the pheasant! The grouse! Oh yeah!
I'm an upland kind-a guy, if ya know what I mean?

But had a good friend in the Sacramento Delta the hunted ducks for 40 years! I don't remember him missing a season!

Waterfowling is my favorite, but I'm not in a very ducky area. Kind of like having Dolly Parton for a mom and being bottle fed, very frustrating. I would like to try pheasant hunting sometime, that sounds like a blast.

There certainly can be when you`re in an area that has good populations. Those SD birds are real flyers....you got to knock `em down NOW or they`re gone.

I hunt waterfowl, but not that often in the last few years. I enjoy it and would like to do it more.

Never could hit squat w/ a shotgun.
Rifle hunt since I was big enough to leave the house alone in the fields out back of the house though.

Andy W, I use to have a deep water blind every year in Back Bay but I have not duck hunted in many years now!!! I really did enjoy it while it lasted!!:smile::smile:
