Anyone aware of any plans by Colt to follow up with a commander-sized Delta Elite? Why let DW have the entire market to themseleves. I'd buy a DW 10mm CBOB, but I find their front strap treatment way too rough and would also prefer a carbon steel gun rather than stainless. I've also grown to like the fact that my Colts digest just about every kind of ammo I can find/load for them.

I doubt I would be interested in a Commander-size 10MM.
But I don't mind if Colt makes them for those that do like the Commanders (and I even prefer their balance).

So if I won't buy one, but won't have a fit if they make them, I guess my vote is "don't care".

I voted don't care. But I really think Colt should get more involved in the market.
I love Commanders, but I already have 2 pistols chambered in 10mm and they have specific uses. The DE is my fav and the Eclipse is one of my backup guns if SHTF. I came to the conclusion a long time ago that I just can't reload EVERYTHING!:shades:

I'm not sure what the checkering on DW is right now. I saw the 20lpi treatment, didn't really like it. I prefer either 25 or 30lpi. The CZ website shows the gun with 20lpi, but I don't know if the site is upto date.

I agree about the standard barrel/bushing set up. I prefer lighter, better balanced guns for quicker target acquisition and transition between targets.

I would like to see one, but as stated with a bushing and not the bull barrel. I had a 10mm cbob and I think it was suited quite well for 10mm, I wouldn't hold my breath though.

The cbobs have the better 25lpi checkering and the slide just has a lasered "custom" on it.

Actually, after counting mine, it's 15lpi.

funny thing is kieth with dw posted the rz-10 is their worst seller.so with that as a indicator the run of new de's may very well be very "limited" i know i'll be ordering one but i also think they would be better off with a shorted commander version.(especally a bobtailed model)i'm not really sure with all the states going to ccw why they dident revive the officers model as i think they would have sold more of these than deltas(the 10mm crowd seems small but vocal)
