I'm so impressed with my new Les Baer that I'm already thinking about my next. I've got a dealer that wants to work with me. I'm thinking of the Commander sized Concept VII or VIII. I like them both. Any advice or another choice?
Thanks,

Course you wont get the Snazzy Solid Trigger unless you order it that way

Or Order the Thunder Ranch Commanche

Not a bad choice out of any of you. You'll have to try harder. Then again, I'm not sure they make anything I wouldn't want. Well, I don't know what the hell a Monolith is for.

The baers are VERY sweet, but I'm with you on the monolith.

.....or put in a videcki/greider.

I wish I had the bucks for a trs commanche, I don't see it happening though.

The only Monolith they make that's remotely worthwhile is the (surpirse, surprise) TRS HD. The Monolith Heavyweight design coupled with the Dawson rail and M3X means zero recoil or flip.

I also like the VIII or even the VII hard chromed, put a bobtail on one of those and it's pretty sweet. I don't see it happening though I wish I could swing it.

After I get my MONOLITH HEAVYWEIGHT I will post targets and show you guys what they are for. trust me they won't be from 30 feet. or 25 yards :nonono:
Monolith Heavyweight
(1)#..........1-1/2" groups at 50 yds.
(2)#...........Fiber Optic Front Sight
(3)#...........Hex Head Grip Screws
(4)#...........Single side safety
(5)#...........Checker Underneath of Trigger Guard
(6)#...........Serrate Top of Slide to Match Radius
(7)#...........Serrate Rear of Slide
(8)#......... Bear Coat finish*******EXCEPT the TRIGGER & BARREL
(9)#........ Full Length Guide Rod and Plug
(10)#........ Two-piece beveled mag well
(11)#.........Extra Extractor tuned and fitted
(12)#.........Baer Extended Ejector button

If you are only going to get 1 Baer get the ULTIMATE MASTER it is one great gun. It has the best trigger of any of my 1911's and is a Total Tac driver at 21 feet or a 100 yards. I moved and have to wait till the summer to get to an outdoor range to shoot at 100 yards again but I can shoot at 30 yards indoors for now. I will do a good group off hand at 100 yards with my MONOLITH HEAVYWEIGHT by the end of the summer.

100 Yards off hand 3 shots ULTIMATE MASTER 1 1/2"

This is from another board and what they think of the gun

"Sounds pretty tricked out. The monolith get quite a few looks just as it is"!

"I had a plain jane Monolith HW.

it was the most accurate gun I had. very tight.

I ended up selling it as I had not shot it in over a year.

I dont think you will be disappointed".

"I have a plain jane monolith....but it is the 1.5"
It is the most accurate handgun I own.
I shoot it often.
I'm not selling mine.
I shoot a 200 gr. SWC (LazerCast) in front of light loads of Clays....it is a light, cheap, and accurate load in my mono".

Why would anyone want one ????
