Accuracy Package

I liked the TR I bought but if I were to purchase anothe Baer I would without a doubt ask for the (1 1/2") accuracy package. I had a Kimber Ultra Carry that shot groups 1/3 the size of the TR at 15 yards. For a custom gun I think its a necessity.

An accuracy guarantee isn't necessary, a gun that cost's that much should certainly outshoot a Kimber. After all, if it only looks better but doesn't shoot any better, what's the point?
I believe if you are buying a baer it will come with a accuracy package to be gin with don't that or is that a reliability package?

Les Bears go from 1 1/2'' to 3'' at 50 yds, for accuracy package. How many people can hold 1 1/2'' group off hand? With out lots of practice? Most of the time weapon is capable but shooter isn't. By the way don't look my way for 1 1'2'' groups.:flag:
Sorry but i have a hard time beliving that a ultra compact a 3" gun yes? shots better thana 5" gun of anymake ..
If your Baer is not as accurate as your Kimber...and if its not you...talk to Les...something is wrong, he will fix it.

I have a Stinger, thats the 4.25 inch barrel...It will shoot 2 inch groups at 50 yards all day long.

The Stinger is not offered with the 1 1/2" package because it is Commanche lenght, and mine is stainless on top of that.

If your Baer wont shoot a 3 inch group at 50 yards it will be fixed under warranty.
ALL of Baers guns have this guarantee.
I don't own a Baer but have shot many and I feel they will outshoot a Kimber easy. No-one can say any gun will shoot 1 1/2 '' off hand it is the shooter not the gun.
I am lucky enough to be able to shoot a 1911 pretty good. I can tell a good gun from a great gun. I have two Baers with the 1.5" accuracy job. It works.

But, I also have an Ed Brown and a Wilson that shoot just as good - and they don't charge extra. As a matter of fact, my SA Trophy Match Longslide shoots almost as good as the others, and that gun is a production gun. The Kimber Team Match II is just a little behind.

If I were to buy another Baer, I would choose the 1.5" if offered.
Primers i agree my Trophy match is extremely Accurate probley one of my top 5 most accurate 1911's
Scott: There's no reason for you to troll the Les Baer area for reasons to put it them down. Not everyone has had the same experience as you and you are beginning to appear obsessed with going after anyone that likes baer. There are plenty of other areas with different brands for you to enjoy. This is the second time, there won't be a third.

While I have no reason to doubt you, I STILL be leive that you are getting gouged! A pistol that costs THAT much, shouldn't need an added "accuracy package." :nonono: Les Baer strikes again!

I said it once...I'll say it again...
You dont absolultly have to have the 1.5" option...my Stinger will shoot 2 inch groups at 50 yards from a Ransom Rest...and it DOES NOT have the 1.5" option because Baer dont offer it on the Commanche length or stainless guns.

And I know better than to believe a Kimber will do any better...unless it has been through a custom shop of some sort...Kimber considers 4 inches at 25 yards acceptable accuracy...if you dont believe me, call and ask them yourself.
I also agree you dont need the package All 3 of my Baers shoot under 2" at 50 yards of course not in my hands but a buddys that i can only wish to shoot half as good..

Nope thats about right for Kimbers I used to pack one the day i bought my dan wesson 10mm out of the box it shot rings around it .. i carried the DW Home ..

Just cause ya don't like les baer ya don't have to try to make sure everyone knows in ever post and complain about Les baer in every post.. Its Called Trolling

Dead on right!!!
Trolls and bitter nay sayers are everywhere. Unfortunately, it's a staple of the internet world. Most times they are neophytes who are talking out of their mudwhistles. They can't afford the guns they slam and they tread closely to the line of libel. Even if they can afford the gun, they couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with it, from the inside. Thankfully for me, they are easily identified and ignored.

Anyway, I've had the pleasure of shooting and inspecting a boat load of Baers. I've yet to come across one that would not shoot 1.5" @ 50yds, with the right ammo, regardless of it's stated group guarantee. Possibly the most respected and best informed maker of bullseye ammo reports the same thing. Baers are just sneaky accurate.

The 1.5" guns get an extra 8hrs on the bench. That translates into the extra $250 on the tag.

I have a DW that shoots very well, eight shots will make one big ragged hole at 2" ish hole at 25yds, with a rest. My LB with the 1 1/2" guarantee will make one hole that is not ragged if I do not pull any shots. The first time I shot with a rest I stopped after about four shots and couldn't believe that the previous shots had went through the same hole, then nervously pulled the next one.
Nuttin wrong with a DW...but its hard to beat a Baer.

your the man!
I want a Les Baer Custom will be my next pistol I will have it no later then March.
I have Kimbers , Dan Wessons and SIGS, I shot my friends SRP after a match he lost and the pistol is a tackdriver and didn't have the 1 1/2'' package. The parts that go into a Baer alone is well worth the investment. I will still carry my Bobtail from Dan Wesson, but for matches I will use the Les Baer. Just my opinion.
