A newbie's 1911

    Here's a photo of my SR1911..Should add that I'm in Great Britain, in a place where owning and shooting handguns is still legal. Was considering the .45 cal but opted for the 9mm in the end which I think is best as it's only going to get target range use. Very happy with this. Now I have a nice combination with this and my Taurus M669 6" barrelled .357 / .38.

    Great that you can still legally posses and use handguns. The Ruger in 9MM is a good choice. I've owned all kinds of handguns, in calibers from .22 rim fire to .454 Casull, but 9MMs fill most of my needs now days.

    Great looking 1911! I like the 9mm option. Thinking that will be my next one.
