9mm Luger operates at a higher pressure than a .45 ACP because of it. It has much higher velocity than a 45 ACP. But at the end both the cartridges have slight penetration differences and the impact also almost the same. So, which are Top guns to build and which cartridge will be the best.

Why are we rehashing this tired, old argument for the 10,001st time?

IMO, it depends on the shooter. I'm more accurate with a 9mm 1911 and since shot placement is always key, for me, 9mm is the answer as far as 1911s are concerned. If it includes other handgun platforms, I shoot the XD45 subcompact better than my 45ACP 1911, probably because the grip texture offers better grip than the grips that are on the 1911.

It's always going to be about the shooter since guns don't shoot themselves.

As Police Officer we had occasions where we had to put down wild dogs that came into the city. I used a camp 45 carbine- 1 shot. We tried a Colt AR9mm once and only once.
As a Correction Officer in a Level5 I had 100s of inmates shot with 9mm, I knew 1 shot with a 45, in the arm and it was lame. Useless.

Take it or leave it. I believe in the 45
