New hunter long slide 10mm in Davidson's special run Bronze.
Not a fan of the color, but I would be interested in a range report when you are able to provide one.
Will do Super Trucker. Should be soon .
Went to the range today and put 100 rounds through the Hunter. Gun is dead on at 25yds 10 rounds in 2 inch circle. It is very tight and did not go fully into battery 5 times in the first 50, 1 time in the next 50. Ammo was American eagle first 50, then sig FMJ next 50. It definitely preferred the more stout sig ammo. The weaker American eagle had trouble moving the heavy long slide. I like this gun better than my glock g40 10mm long slide as I shoot the 1911 better. So far I am pleased with this gun. I am sure it will be 100% after a few more rounds to loosen it up.
Thanks for the report.
I wonder if a different recoil spring would help cycle the lighter rounds.
I bet your right about the spring. I think a lighter spring would be better for the weaker range ammo. Not sure what the stock spring weight is, but it is substantial. I'm guessing 21-23lbs.
Maybe send them an email or call to ask, then get another with a different weight to try. Could be a cheap fix.
Good idea. I'll bet they will send me a lighter spring. If not I'll get one after market as they are not that expensive. Anyway thanks for the suggestion Super Trucker.
Think I will stick with my Fusion Firearms long slide....
Very nice gandog, I'd love to have bought a fusion longslide. I just couldn't swing the price tag. That's a real beauty you got there! Maybe someday.
I am glad to see Remington continuing on with this. A few years ago I was thinking about the Para LE Hunter in 10mm with a 6 inch barrel, but someone else bought it before I made up my mind. These days I think I will keep saving my pennies and buy a DW Bruin in 10mm with its 6 inch barrel.
I like that color. I have a RIA in 10mm. Nice. I'm looking at this one now. How's it shooting now, jbaker30? Did you change anything?
