Are you Fusion owners (or other brands) of 10mm 1911's with shorter barrel lengths having any issues with full power loads other than the obvious recoil/blast increases expected. As I have said before my next 1911 will be a smaller, or more concealable, carry piece and my first perference is 10mm Auto. Please provide feedback

my concern really is regarding the possible higher slide velocity due to less mass in the slide, what problems this may cause and how this may be overcome if it is a problem. nothing intended to bash any particular firearm

I personally would go no lower than cdr slide for 10mm. Just my personal opinion. cco maybe, cdr slide over a oacp frame or a bobtail.

The Commanders run real well. Officers... Not sure. We have not built any officers in 10mm yet. We will give it a try in the new Ncom.

We have built many commanders and T-comm's in 10mm... Very good results.

The first Executive Decision is a 10mm

Hi Frank.... Thanks  Santa should have you name on one of these:biggrin:

For the 10mm the commander slide length is good. We have many successful 10mm built on the Commander and CCO Configurations, and Yes also the Grand sport hi-caps in commander 10mm.

With the intro of our Ncom we will be working with the 10mm in the shorter barrel lengths. We will post our findings and Different mechanical workings we will be changing or altering to be the best the 10 can be in the shorter slides. We won’t be building the 10mm in a small officers like platform with an all 45 acp base config. There will have to be some changes to make this a good performer in the short stroke pistols. We are up for the challenge though!!
